Our granddaughter Heather just turned 7 years old, and we wanted her to spend a weekend with us so we could share in some of her Birthday celebration.  Well, we set the weekend up, and...

the first stop was a visit with Uncle Ray & Aunt Kathy and all of their extended family members--a parrot, a parakeet, two finches, a dog, two cats and...

...4 bearded-dragon lizards.  

Aunt Kathy showed Heather and her sister, Zoe, how to handle them.

Then it was their turn...

  Heather reaches into the bag to get a handful of LIVE crickets to feed the lizards... 

Now it's Uncle Ray's turn to have some fun with Heather & Zoe...

"OK, Zoe, try to catch my hands", (heh, heh)    Zoe tried to catch his hands, but Uncle Ray was too fast.

"OK Girls,  here is another trick.  Try and get this dollar bill out from my fingers."

Zoe tried...   then, Heather tried...  And BINGO! 

Who has the dollar bill?     Why it's Zoe!

We said Good Bye, and thanked Uncle Ray & Aunt Kathy for the fun time at their house.  Later, we all went out to dinner...and it was Heather's choice.  And where might that be?  Burger King!  Even Aunt Joyce came to join us there.

After dinner, it was time for Heather to get her birthday present.  Heather's choice was Toys R Us, and off we all went...

Heather wandered the aisles with sister Zoe...

...until she found the perfect gift--a skateboard!

After Grandpa Bill paid for it at the register   

we all went out for ice cream.  

The next day we went to the beach.  It was a picture perfect sunny day. 

The girls played in the surf, seeing how many cartwheels they could do before the waves ebbed back up to the shore. 

The girls buried each other in the sand.   

  Aunt Joyce came over to say HI to Heather   who was as comfy as comfy can be...
